Diamond Jubilee of University of Peradeniya
With the dawn of the year 2017, the University of Peradeniya marked its proud journey of 75 glorious years, since its establishment as the University of Ceylon in 1942, in Colombo.
A grand ceremony was held on 10th January with the presence of many distinguished guests from the administration and the academia, to celebrate this occasion. The University of Peradeniya is the oldest, the largest and the first educational institution of its kind, which is renowned for its natural beauty as well.
